shot in a cafeteria on the first day of school in baltimore is finally home. daniel was shot last month at perry hall high school. he left the hospital yesterday after spending two weeks in the hospital. he has down syndrome and suffered a bruised lung, fractured rib and a hole in his torso. the accused gunman is being charged as an adult with attempted murder and assault. >>> this morning a family is mourning the loss of a 2-year-old boy who apparently drowned in a backyard pool. chopper 4 flew over the scene yesterday morning in the 17000 block of sandy knoll drive. police say a neighbor was performing cpr on the child when they arrived. the boy was two months short of his third birthday. he was at home with a caretaker at the time. police are trying to figure out how he got into the pool. >>> montgomery county says pepco does not have enough crews to keep up with frequent power outages. according to "the washington examiner," that's what the office of consumer protection said in a filing with the maryland public service commission. the filing criticizes pepco's performance after june
